Elder Gardener Support Companion

Garden Workday Crew Member
Roll up your sleeves for a few hours of community-powered gardening! Join our monthly gatherings to tackle seasonal projects, maintain our beautiful shared spaces, and help our community gardens thrive for all.

Enjoy working as part of a team in a lively, social atmosphere.
Prefer a drop-in, no-long-term-commitment volunteering style.
Want to learn basic gardening skills in a hands-on, group setting.

Time Commitment & Details

Come to one, many, or all monthly workdays! No ongoing obligation required.

Workdays are typically once a month (depending on garden) Specific times and tasks are announced in advance.

Just yourself, in clothes you don't mind getting dirty! We provide all tools, gloves, and water. A hat and sunscreen are recommended.
Garden and Park Event Support
Be the welcoming face and helping hands that make our free community events possible. With your support, you'll ensure events run smoothly and safely for all attendees.
This role is perfect, if you:
Love the energy of community festivals and gatherings.
Are a "people person" who enjoys helping and interacting with a diverse public.
Prefer task-oriented, shift-based volunteering with a clear start and end time.
Want to be part of the "behind-the-scenes" magic that makes events successful.
Are reliable, proactive, and can stay calm in a busy environment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Volunteers can sign up for one or multiple roles during an event

Set up tents, tables, chairs, and signage before the event; break down and clean up afterwards.

Greet guests, provide information, and check attendees in for events.

Act as our eyes and ears—circulate through the event to answer questions, direct foot traffic, gently enforce rules (e.g., leashing pets), and assist attendees as needed. This role is perfect for observant, friendly people who like to be on the move.
