Policy and Advocacy

To fulfill our mission we need everyone working together to achieve and sustain success. We engage and partner with elected officials, community members, nonprofits, funders and schools to grow access and funding for communities lacking parks and gardens.

"Children have already been involved in sharing their ideas of what they would like to see on campus, and as this project breaks ground and moves forward, the children will see right in front of them the transformation of this playground to one that truly is the best thing for them in the 21st century."

Community School Parks

All Angelenos live near a school, so we work with institutions like the Los Angeles Unified School District to turn school yards into public parks after hours. We’ve replaced asphalt with trees and grass and helped create policies for making school yards accessible to all neighbors.

Park Equity

We work with state-level coalitions, major environmental justice advocates and legislation efforts to align funding priorities for green spaces and community-based projects. These efforts ensure that local needs are reflected in broader legislative agendas.

Help us ensure every community has space to breathe, gather, and grow.
