This park is LA County-owned. Prior to development, the site was a vacant public lot. The LANLT received funding from the California State Parks Proposition 84 Urban Parks grant program to support community engagement, design, and construction of the .5-acre nature park.

The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation operates and maintains the park which includes native plants a water fountain, bike racks and a grassy knoll.
