Call for Board Member Applications
Whether you’re an individual looking to connect, a neighbor ready to dig in, a company seeking purpose, or a festival-lover wanting to help—there’s a place for you in our growing community. Together, we cultivate more than green spaces; we cultivate connection.
The Opportunity
Los Angeles parks belong to all Angelenos. Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust (LANLT) has spent years turning that belief into reality through acquiring land, building green space, and stewarding parks in communities that have gone without for far too long. We are now looking for governance leaders to help us elevate our organization and impact.
We are forming a cohort of 3-5 new board members. No single candidate needs to possess all the qualities we seek. We are looking for candidates who have strength in one or more of the following areas.
Desired Expertise & Experience
Philanthropy and Fundraising Strategy
Organizational Development and Governance
Finance, Accounting, or Investment Oversight
Marketing and Communications
Key Network and Connections
Foundations, philanthropic leaders, and corporate partnerships
Entertainment industry, media, and public figures
Connections to city and county government and agency decision-makers
Cultural institutions, arts organizations, and historic preservation networks
We are looking for Board Members and Advisory Council Members who are diverse in background, experience, and perspective, and who want to invest in the LANLT serves. You do not need prior nonprofit board experience, a background in parks or open space, or an existing connection to LANLT. If you see yourself in even one of our areas of need, we encourage you to apply.
